SUTTON – PREMIER REALTY Surrey, B.C. – On May 19th, Sutton – Premier Realty’s Rae Phillips and Graham Higgins will swap houses for pancakes at the Surrey Food Bank second annual “Breakfast with the Bank” at the Sheraton Hotel (Guildford) from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. The organizers are hoping to surpass last year’s fundraising total by 50 percent to raise $60,000 net. All proceeds will be used to provide food, clothing and operate programs such as Tiny Bundles, for children and adults in need in Surrey and North Delta. Rae Phillips, Director of the Food Bank Society and Graham Higgins, Chairman of the Surrey Food Bank Foundation of Sutton – Premier Realty, are passionate supporters of the Surrey Food Bank and have been instrumental in organizing this event.

Rae is hands on in her role, playing an integral part in the Breakfast with the Bank since its inception and is enthusiastic about the opportunity to raise not only funding but also community awareness. “The breakfast is a great way for people to learn more about the programs and services offered by the Surrey Food Bank,” says Rae. “The number of recipients of the Food Bank is growing, everyone needs a helping hand at some time in their life.” The breakfast is free and donations are welcome. Rae notes that last year, some guests made generous donations of $1000-plus to help the food bank serve their community.

At the event, Rae and Graham will be acting as ‘Table Captains’. The job of table captain is a volunteer position available to anyone who wishes to invite nine guests. “The breakfast is a good opportunity for business people to network, invite clients, and meet influential developers and realtors in the industry” notes Graham Higgins “every independent business person should be a table captain, there are 300 guests expected to attend!”
