Fraser Valley, BC - After enjoying delicious holiday food, most of us are carrying a few extra pounds. For all those who have made a New Year’s resolution to lose weight, here is an inspiring story of six Sutton agents who Weighed In For Breast Cancer noting that many agents and their families are touched by the disease. They resolved to shed pounds to shed some light on the battle with breast cancer by initiating this First Annual Fraser Valley Weight Loss Competition. Talk about a great motivation for losing weight!

During the 3-month competition, these six Sutton agents lost an impressive total of 75 pounds! The participants were Sutton Group – West Coast Realty (Langley) agents Ray Lewis, George Porter, Joe Morris, Simon Kelly, Lori Dyck and Dan Melnychuk. On average, each of them lost 5% of their body weight. Trimming down even more was Ray Lewis who emerged victorious with a 13% weight loss on a no meat, no alcohol diet combined with plenty of exercise.

The real victor is the BC Breast Cancer Research Centre. Through pledges and their own donations, these six dedicated agents raised $600.00 during the weight loss challenge period in July. The participants wish to thank all the supporters and each other for their encouragement and assistance in promoting this cause.
