Mississauga, ON – Tina Gardin, broker of Sutton Group – Quantum Realty, Inc. recently joined her esteemed Sutton colleagues in serving the real estate industry as Board President.   Having served on both the Mississauga and Toronto boards, Tina has experience on numerous committees including Toronto’s ethics appeal and professional standards, the Mississauga Real Estate Board Ethics chair, Value Added chair, Liaison Chair, Education Chair, and now Board President 2005.    ”My strongest asset as Board President is that I care about the industry and its fabric.   I believe in organized real estate.   As a broker dealing with many sales reps, it gives me a good insight into what the salespeople need.” Tina says.

Even as an active broker in her own office and a mother of a 3-year-old boy, Tina still finds time to go beyond day-to-day operations to ensure that her office finds creative and effective ways to contribute to the community.   In the past year, she organized a dog walk fundraiser for the Mississauga animal shelter and contributed $1500.   In addition, Sutton Group – Quantum Realty Inc. held a Christmas toy drive for the local Compass Outreach Centre.

Tina’s success can be attributed to her unique approach and views on the business: “The brokerage is a resource for the agent.   It gives them a haven without internal competition.   We have no agent of the month, no listing sale board; everyone is equal. I had some reservations about this but my agents love it.   Their privacy is protected.   I offer strategic planning to those that want it.   I have a very comprehensive new agent training program.”

With her years of experience, Tina offers some predictions: “I anticipate a change in the landscape over the next 12 years.   There will be lots of interest in vacation homes and a continued shift towards data exchange and more virtual offices.”
