More than your average good Samaritan, Sutton realtor John Milks has a funny way of demonstrating his Sutton Spirit in his local community! Previously a professional entertainer, John has found ways to make people walk, laugh, and see into their future for charity.

Earlier this month, on May 5, John was the main attraction of the Queensway-Carleton Hospital at the Annual Comedy Auction as the palm reading ‘guru’ for the fifth year in a row.

Throughout May, John is also the captain of a group of 10 volunteers who distribute and collect canvassing kits for CNIB. “It’s nothing fancy but it is a job that has to get done,” says John. “I also canvas a street. Some may see it as a crummy job, but I make time to do it and my team and I make it as fun and full of laughs as we can. This is my second year. I have a hard time saying no to truly worthy causes.”
