Coquitlam, BC – John Pooghkay from Sutton Group – West Coast Realty (Burnaby) recently rallied his sports team together to organize a KidSport fundraiser at their local venue – Woody’s Pub. In total, John and his supporters raised over $4,600 to assist this amazing organization. All across Canada, KidSport helps underprivileged children who would otherwise not be able to afford the sporting equipment or registration fees associated with organized sports. KidSport’s motto is “So ALL Kids Can Play”.

The proceeds of the fundraiser will go to the youth soccer programs in the Coquitlam area, organized through KidSport. The underprivileged children of Coquitlam now have a chance to join sports teams because of people like John Pooghkay. By demonstrating his Sutton Spirit, he has helped children get fit as well as build self-esteem and develop leadership skills. A positive aspect for John has been making a direct impact in his own community by giving children opportunities that they normally would not have. His reward is to see them develop and grow – on the soccer fields as well as in their everyday lives.
