Edmonton, AB – Employees from the Sutton Group Realty Services I.A. committee presented S.T.A.R.S. with a check for $12,800 in support of their community on July 27, 2005.   The Sutton Group raised this money through the annual Sutton Golf Tournament held especially for the STARS organization.   The event was a great success with many people attending in response to the cause. The Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service (STARS) provides helicopters for those in need of critical treatment and transports the critically ill and injured patients to their destinations.   STARS continues to provide a “safe, rapid, highly specialized emergency medical transport system” (www.stars.ca) for those in critical state.

Since STARS is a non-profit organization, any funds that help the further development of their training and research are highly valuable to the future and success of this charity.   The Sutton Group’s contribution has increased the potential for STARS to save lives and help those in critical care.   STARS has flown more than 11,000 missions since 1985 and will continue to fly more missions because of generous donors and supporters.
