Realtor Blanket Drive to Bring Warmth and Joy this Holiday Season

Vancouver, BC – For the eleventh year in a row, sales agents from Sutton – Centre Realty plan to bring some Christmas joy to children and other Vancouverites in need through the annual Realtors Care Blanket Drive.

Regina Dutt and John Patricelli, 2005 Blanket Drive Coordinators, are requesting that all Realtors get involved to donate at least 2,500 bags of clothing, blankets and other necessities. This year’s goal is even more ambitious than last Christmas, in response to the increasing number of people who require assistance.

“We hope you will once again lend your support to this worthy cause. Everyone benefits as people in need receive some welcome relief and we experience the gift of giving.”

Last year, the bags were donated to local outreach groups across the Lower Mainland. The Blanket Drive Coordinators will be looking for donations of the following items: clean blankets, non-perishable food items, new or lightly used toys, toiletries (soap, toothpaste, etc), foreign language books and videos, sweaters, socks, and other warm winter clothing. This year’s Drive will take place from December 5-12, 2005. Donations can be brought to any Sutton office in the Lower Mainland during that week.
