Sutton REALTOR® Begins 9th Year with REBGV Leadership

Vancouver, BC – Heidi Neff, a REALTOR® with Sutton Group – West Coast Realty in Vancouver was recently elected Vice President, Westside Division, of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV). Heidi has served as a Westside Division Director for eight years and began another two-year term on February 2, 2009. This is also her second term as Vice President. With more than 20 years in the real estate profession, Heidi brings a great deal of experience to her roles. One of her main duties with the REBGV is serving as the Chair of Education, which she has done for six years. In this capacity, Heidi is able to share her expertise with fellow REALTORS® by arranging seminars and keeping them apprised of changes in regulations pertaining to real estate.

“Professional development is essential in our business,” says Heidi. “The REBGV strives to ensure that our membership has access to information that allows them to remain experts in their field. The public relies on REALTORS® to guide them through perhaps the largest purchase or sale of their lives. I arrange seminars on the Urban Development Institute, the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Feng Shui, etc. For managers, I arrange topics of key interest such as recruitment, ethics and other subjects. Speakers include Cameron Muir, Chief Economist of the B.C. Real Estate Association, and other experts.”

“As Vice President, I assist the President with maintaining ongoing communication with the Directorate, organize events, plan Division meetings, work with the Division Coordinator, liaise with the Board of Directors and more than 3,600 members on the Westside, work on budgets, and more. I believe that communication and educational sessions are extremely important for all REALTORS®. This has always been a very gratifying position.”

During her years as a leader serving on the REBGV, Heidi has participated in numerous charitable projects including the REALTORS® Care Blanket Drive, which collects and distributes blankets and clothing to homeless people, and the REALTORS® Care Endowment, which raises funds for organizations such as the B.C. Children’s Hospital.
