White Rock, BC – On May 7th, members from Sutton Group – West Coast Realty in White Rock will pedal through their local neighbourhood on a bicycle built for 30. The large multi-person bike is quite a sight and will get your attention. The Big Bike event’s goal is to raise awareness and fundraise for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Sutton REALTORS® and office staff have responded enthusiastically to this event each year.

Barb Maguire and Maria Perry-Whittingham, both office administrators with Sutton Group – West Coast Realty have organized this event for nine consecutive years. This year they have recruited Deana Legrier, a fellow office administrator, and two REALTORS® from their office, Lynn Brice Polegato and Patti Cowan, to help lead the event to greater success. Lynn and Patti’s focus has been to take on the fundraising component of the event.

“REALTORS® in our office believe in giving back to a worthy cause such as the Heart & Stroke Foundation, as its funding helps many people not only in our community but throughout Canada,” Lynn explains. Lynn and Barb’s goal is to raise $5000 with the help of fellow REALTORS®, clients, friends and family. They will also be working their office’s kiosk, at Semiahmoo Shopping Centre, closer to the time of the event to promote awareness and continue to fundraise for the cause.

Lynn is looking forward to the event and says, “We will get out there and peddle around the Semiahmoo Centre, being cheered on by our clients, the public, friends and family who support us and the foundation. It will be a morning of exercise, knowing that every dollar raised will help someone in need.” The riders will start out from Semiahmoo Shopping Centre’s parking lot at 9:30am sharp on May 7th. Their route will follow Martin Drive to 18th Avenue, and then turn right onto 154th Street, with one final right turn onto 16th Avenue.
