Surrey, BC – Glen Seymour, REALTOR® with Sutton Group – Medallion Realty, organized and hosted the first annual Glen “SEEMORE” Results BBQ this summer. He planned the event as a way to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. The festivities took place in White Rock at Semiahmoo Park on August 9, 2009.

Glen had a team of five volunteers who grilled 100 salmon over the course of the afternoon. Although the weather threatened to hamper the event, it turned out sunny after all and he was able to raise $3005.00 for the Canadian Cancer Society.

The local fire department made an appearance with their fire engine in support of Glen and his team. Kids took the opportunity to climb on the fire truck, jump around in the bouncy castle on-site and spin the prize wheel. There was also a silent auction as part of the afternoon’s festivities.

When asked why he chose to donate his proceeds to the Canadian Cancer Society, Glen replies, “I wanted to plan an event which would allow me to donate to a cause that touches the lives of many people.” Glen is happy to have completed his first annual Glen “SEEMORE” Results BBQ and looks forward to next year’s event when he can help out and make a contribution again.
