Langley, BC – Sutton Group – West Coast Realty in Langley and White Rock held their annual holiday luncheon on December 4, 2009. However, there was an addition to this year’s festivities. As a group they decided, at their sales meeting prior to the event, to use this as an opportunity to collect items for those less fortunate in their community.

“Our REALTORS®, being joyous of heart and full of holiday cheer, gave back this year at their combined holiday event,” explains Jamie Fecteau, Broker of both Sutton Group – West Coast Realty offices in Langley and White Rock. The REALTORS® donated a variety of much needed items including warm socks, children’s toys and non-perishable food items.

The next day, the administration staff distributed the items collected to their local Food Banks in Langley and White Rock. The deliveries were made early enough to reach the Food Banks in time for distribution to needy families this Christmas. The success of the one day drive for food, toys and clothes prompted the offices to keep the collection open for an additional week. At the end of the week, another special trip was made to their local
Food Banks to deliver the collected goods. Nancy Bussey, Administration Assistant, notes, “It was a great success, we even had a REALTOR® supply a tricycle.”
