Event Launches the First Sutton Office in Southampton
Southampton, ON – The public is invited to attend an Appreciation event on July 31 to mark the launch of the new Sutton – Huron Shores Realty Inc. Brokerage* in Southampton. Broker of Record Brian Shular welcomes former realty clients and anyone interested in learning more about home buying and selling to his new office at 19 Albert Street South from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can enjoy refreshments, light snacks and a chance to win door prizes. This is the first Sutton office in the region and the first brokerage for Brian, who has extensive knowledge of the local market.
“I have lived in this area for 52 years,” says Brian. “I was born in Southampton and currently reside in Port Elgin.” Prior to beginning his real estate career, he worked for the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) for 28 years. “I was a Union Steward for approximately 20 years, which involved negotiating several contracts on behalf of CAW employees. It’s very helpful to be able to bring these negotiating skills to real estate transactions. It’s such a thrill to guide first-time buyers through the process of finding a home and handing them their keys at the end.”
In selecting a Sutton franchise, Brian cites two main reasons: “I picked a franchise with a great reputation and I also like the fact that it is 100% Canadian. Some real estate companies have their head offices in the United States and I think it is much more beneficial to support the Canadian economy.”
Brian also offers homebuyers a complimentary home inspection and, for a new listing, a complimentary professional home staging consultation. “These are valuable services that enhance the buying and selling experience. I’m also offering a free rental promotion service. People with rentals are welcome to drop by my office with their information and I’ll pass it along to new people coming to town.”
The new broker’s plans for the future include a measured expansion. “Eventually, I would like to have three or four more offices from Kincardine to Wiarton. In each office, I plan to have just a few REALTORS® who are experts on their own communities. This makes sense given the relatively small population spread out over the region. These are generally affluent lakeside communities that are popular with tourists and attract permanent residents such as retirees and thousands of Bruce Power employees.”
