Grand Opening Celebration in Vernon Draws 300 People
Vernon, BC – Sutton Group – Lakefront Realty was the place to be in Vernon on July 10. Approximately 300 well-wishers and auto enthusiasts crowded into the parking lot to admire 40 classic cars, motorcycles and hot rods in the Car Show & Shine. Children enjoyed face painting, water balloons and fishing while everyone enjoyed free hotdogs and hamburgers fresh off the grill. Broker Tamara Cinnamon was very pleased with the turnout and plans to make the Car Show & Shine an annual event.
“It was great to see all the Sutton Group – Lakefront Realty REALTORS® pitching in to make it happen,” says Tamara, who obtained her franchise on June 1, 2010. The new broker has a team of 11 experienced REALTORS® serving the community. “It had to be the hottest day of the year and they were all out there excited to show off the “New Sutton” to Vernon!”
“My whole family came out, including five brothers who brought their cars. We put them to work parking vehicles, working the barbeque, and taking care of all the little things that needed doing. Rick Taron from Sutton head office came out and jumped right in to help. To see how many members of the public, clients and REALTORS® showed up to support us really confirms what an amazing community we live in!”

This year, the event was entirely free in celebration of the grand opening under new leadership. In the upcoming years, Tamara expects to make it a fundraiser for a local charity.
Asked how her first few months as a Broker have been, Tamara answers without hesitation: “Great! Like any new endeavour, it can be a steep learning curve but, at the end of the day, I feel that I am in my element doing exactly what I should be doing. I have a strong crew of supportive REALTORS®. We’re all looking forward to what the future has to hold.”
