Toronto, ON-Broker Gerry Weir of Sutton Group-Preferred Realty was elected Director-at-large of the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) at its annual conference on February 22. In this role, Gerry will represent the Association's members on the Board of Directors and the senior level executive committee.

Gerry has been with Sutton for the last 15 years. He is a member and past president of the London and St. Thomas Real Estate Board and a member of the Woodstock-Ingersoll and District Real Estate Board. Most recently, Gerry Weir has served OREA as a member of the brokerage viability task force and small business tax administration advisory committee and as chair of the finance committee.

The Ontario Real Estate Association represents 39,000 brokers and salespeople who are members of the 43 real estate boards throughout the province. OREA develops and publishes standard forms, and supports educational and charitable causes through the OREA Foundation.
