B.C. – Expand your network of friends, clients, and business connections as you make meaningful contributions to your community as a volunteer. Many charitable organizations in coastal B.C. urgently require volunteers to serve on committees and boards of major fitness and fundraising events, encourage visitors to enjoy their time at local farmers markets, feed people in need, reduce our environmental impact, and bring smiles to seniors and others with mobility challenges.

The Burnaby Artisan Farmers Market needs volunteers with people skills to encourage visitors to observe safety rules and generally enjoy their time at the market. To sign up, please email the coordinator at burnaby@artisanmarkets.ca.

QUEST Food Exchange relies on volunteers to help rescue quality food from being wasted and diverting it to feed people in need. This organization has a small administrative team that relies on volunteers throughout the Lower Mainland. Visit www.questoutreach.org

For the first time, participants in the Climb for Alzheimer's can hike Mount Douglas in Victoria, the Summit Peak Trail in Fort Nelson, or the legendary Grouse Grind® in North Vancouver. The collective goal is 70,000 kilometres of climbing. Committee members are needed to plan this annual event. Learn more at https://alzheimer.ca/bc/en.

As a Director on the Board of RUNVAN®, you can help to ensure the success of major events such as the BMO Vancouver Marathon and Granville Island Turkey Trot. RUNVAN® is seeking a director who has business, finance, and marketing savvy. To learn more, please email board@runvan.org or visit www.runvan.org.

For 40 years, seniors and people with injuries or disabilities have relied on Oak Bay Volunteer Services to receive groceries, rides to medical appointments or simply a phone call check in. Volunteer hours are flexible. Learn more at www.oakbayvolunteers.org.

ReStore, operated by Habitat for Humanity in Nanaimo, needs volunteers who are knowledgeable about furniture, building materials, tools, housewares, etc. Proceeds of ReStore help to fund the construction of affordable housing for local families.
