Huntsville, ON – Located 200 kilometres north of Toronto, Huntsville and Dwight are close-knit communities nestled in hilly terrain surrounded by beautiful lakes and rivers that attract families, cottagers, and nature lovers of all sorts.
The region has been home to Jamie Lockwood’s family for more than 100 years. As the Broker/Owner of Sutton Group - Muskoka Realty Inc., he can advise clients on the best places to paddle, fish, hike or snowshoe and he understands the character of each neighbourhood.
In fact, his first experience in real estate was buying a motel when he was just 22 years of age. Fast forward to today, he and his team deliver expertise about the local market and incorporate the latest technology, including 3D imagery for interactive tours.
Jamie has helped to shape the community he loves. Over the years, he has contributed his time and skills to his profession, multiple sports groups, and his community.
Since joining Sutton in 2008, he has served as a Director of the Muskoka and Haliburton Association of Realtors, volunteered as a committee member of the Community Services Group/Muskoka and Haliburton Association of Realtors, and mentored his own team.
Sports are a passion for Jamie. He has volunteered as a coach for the Huntsville Minor Lacrosse system; as a registered trainer and an ice helper with the Huntsville Minor Hockey system; and as a committee member of the Kirk Evans Memorial Fund, which raises funds for minor sports. He regularly sponsors local athletes to assist with expenses such as equipment and travel.
The Muskoka region enjoys four seasons including crisp winters perfect for skating and cross-country skiing as well as holiday celebrations. Jamie has volunteered as a committee member with Winterfest and the Huntsville Santa Clause Parade.
Contributing to the community also means championing the sales associates on his team who have found innovative ways to support the Huntsville Hospice, the Table Soup Kitchen, the Huntsville Festival of the Arts, and more.
