Newest Sutton Spirit Draw Winner
CANADA – Congratulations to our latest Sutton Spirit draw winner Corwin Kwan. This REALTOR® is a frequent community contributor who was willing to risk his own health and safety on the front lines of the pandemic; he helped to set up a field hospital at the Vancouver Convention Centre and trained to assist nursing staff. As a volunteer with St. John Ambulance (SJA) for 29 years, Corwin has provided patient care at countless cultural and sporting events. Bringing smiles to people in need is another way he likes to contribute.
It was a Christmas tradition to donate to and volunteer with Operation MacKenzie delivering food, clothing and toiletries to homeless people in Vancouver’s downtown core. Operation MacKenzie was suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic, so Corwin and his wife, Yvonne, found another way to spread holiday cheer: they purchased 45 gifts and delivered them to the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau.
Earlier this month, Corwin and Yvonne donated 12 backpacks filled with school supplies to the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society. Student requests for backpacks were up 60 percent this year.
