Spring Inspiration
CANADA – Spring is a time of renewal, which is especially important this year. In the Forbes magazine series Accessing the Most Powerful Version of You, senior contributor Kathy Caprino asks: “How do we quickly accelerate our own growth and give ourselves new information that will help us make a bigger, more thrilling impact in the world?”
She offers five answers that you can start acting on today.
Stop being scattered and start focusing on what really matters to you. Caprino writes, “It takes strength and bravery to choose the one or two projects that are most vital to your success and most essential to what you’re trying to do in the world.”
Say YES to the thrilling opportunities that come your way, even if they seem scary. Don’t get hung up on the how; move in the right direction each day.
Align with people who are showing up in bigger ways in the world and who inspire you to become more. At the same time, limit your exposure to people are “either threatened by your big visions, or green with envy over them.”
In your career, personal and community lives, there are multiple ways that you can shine. According to Caprino, the happiest, most impactful people she has met and interviewed are those who wear multiple hats and explore varied passions.
Dream larger. “The surest way to make a bigger positive impact in the world is to believe you can,” the journalist writes. She suggests taking five minutes per day to visualize your ideal impact and life, then start taking steps toward those goals.
